9/11/08 On the Road in France

Ahmee es mi hermana. Ella hable tres idiomas: ingles, espanol, y frances. Ella aprende un poco frances. Poppy hable un idioma, ingles. Para Poppy es dificil aprender otros idiomas. Yo aprendo un poco frances! Yo moy feliz! Espanol y Frances es similar.

The next morning we went downstairs to eat breakfast. I never did mention how lovely the b&b we were staying in was. They had excellent tastes in paint, furniture, and deco. They also enjoyed displaying various collectible items. These things were what occupied my eye when I went down there for breakfast. We had the traditional baguette and butter or jam. What wasn't traditional for me was not being able to understand what people were saying. Since I'm a nosy bum I didn't like not being able to understand them.

After checking out we went back to Mont St. Michel and got a looksee in the cathedral. Personally it reminded me of Hogwarts with all its passageways that were underground. The cathedral had been built with different sections on top of the each other. They had one room that was completely dedicated to pillars. These pillars held up the cathedral at the very top. Ahmee was slightly disgusted with the fact that the monks that had lived there worshiped God and St. Michael.

On the road again.... We headed up towards the Normandy Beaches and stayed in Bayeux. Bayeux is famous for a huge tapestry that depicts how King William the Conqueror who was from the Bayeux area. King Henry of England wanted King William to take over the English thrown when he died, but Henry's brother in law Harrold took the throne. This tapestry depicts the interactions that took place between Harrold before King Henry died, and after King Henry died when Harrold took the English crown and King William came over and took over England.

Again I ended up staying up late doing homework. I didn't sleep well either.
